I remember being in history class
But everything the teacher said become history fast
Couldn’t tell you the dates of world war two
But I know for a fact that green and white
Hate the red white and blue
Cos I got a Scottish education.

I never learned proper sentence structure
I canny even write a cheque
But I punctuate my sentences
With the words I learned instead
Fuck you ya fucking cunt

I couldn’t tell you the capital of Zanzibar
I thought Kyle of Lochalsh was a guy
Not a place your granny goes in the car
I grew up on the Ayrshire coast
Breakfast dinner and tea
Was a pie and chips
Or beans and toast
A la carte that will make you fart
I got a Scottish education

I’ve seen Marrakech on google maps
Columbian powder made me march
sauchiehall’s my Champs-Elysées
Friday night fights
Nightclub lights
Somebody pulled a knife

Because I got a Scottish education


Every lunchtime I get something fae chippy
The boy knows me by name now.
I should fucking thinksy
Chips and doner
Chips and cheese
